The Brentford Dragons contest this year has already produced some fantastic submissions. Well done and thank you to those who have already put their new business ideas forward.

LB Hounslow Responds

Brentford Chamber of Commerce sent a letter to Brendon Walsh last month raising a small number of important issues. Here is Brendon's response.

Thank you for your letter of 17 September, and I am pleased that you found the visit to be a positive one. Officers would like to thank you and your colleagues for their time and we have already put into motion responses to several of the issues raised, as well as projects to build upon the exciting opportunities for further regeneration and economic growth that exist in Brentford's unique context. I would like to respond to the specific points raised in your letter.

What Does Redevelopment of Brentford Mean For Your Business?

Dear Members,

I was invited to the launch of the Golden Mile future plans1 for Brentford, presented by London Borough of Hounslow last Thursday.

The plans put forward are futuristic and will no doubt make a huge impact on those who live and work here over the coming years.

It was very encouraging to see the increased development that is happening at BskyB and a future Brompton World centre potentially being built to keep this award winning company in Brentford.

The proposed improvements to rail links will be vital to enable the viability for the scheme to work successfully although the road networks have not been shown with any improvements. Bringing back the high speed connection between Brentford and Waterloo seems an easy win that hasn't been included.
