February 2012 Newsletter

Our next meeting is next Tuesday at the Musical Museum. If you've already let us know you're coming then thank you. If you haven't, please do so as it helps with planning and catering. Please also note there is very limited parking on site so if you can approach on foot it would be helpful. We'd like to thank Thames Water for sponsoring the drinks for this event.

Invoices have now been posted for your annual membership and we thank you in advance for your continued membership.

Octink are celebrating their 50 years in business this year - many congratulation and let's hope for another 50!

Also just a reminder that Brentford's February market has been postponed to 9-10th March on Brentford High Street.

Mary Macleod and West Thames College are holding a Jobs Fair on 30th March.

We'd like to welcome Premier Inn and Blond Events as Chamber members.

January 2012 Newsletter

A Very Happy New Year to you all!

Our next meeting is tomorrow on January 17th at the Docking Station, forming part of International Jelly Week.

If you missed last week's business breakfast with Hounslow Council there's another opportunity to do so on the 20th January.

We hope to see many of you at to the Brentford FC Community Trust's 25th Anniversary celebrations at the Audi Quattro Rooms next week and we'd like to extend our heartiest congratulations and thanks to the Community Sports Trust for the invaluable work and community support it has provided over the years.

Mary Macleod, MP for Brentford and Isleworth invites you to another breakfast on the 31st January to discuss Apprenticeships.

The Business Support Programme in Brentford has added two new workshops in February on Employing and Managing People, with monthly workshops for those thinking of starting their own business also continuing.

We have just announced our membership fees for next year which have gone up slightly but still remain competitive.

Lastly just a reminder that there will be another market held on 17-18th February on Brentford High Street.

Firstly a reminder that our next meeting is at Audi Quattro Rooms on Tuesday 15th November. Thank you to all those who have replied and If you haven't yet said you're coming please do as it helps the catering and organisation.

The Docking Station is hosting an open evening for businesses and voluntary organisations on the 10th November.

Garth Buckle invites us all to the Partnership Challenge 2011 on 23rd November, at which time we will also commemorate his many working years and celebrate his retirement.

Hounslow for Business are holding two sets of workshops in Brentford:

Business Support Programme for existing businesses (running from November to March 2012) and

Starting and Developing your own business (running monthly workshops from November to June 2012)

If you're wanting some leafleting round Brentford, Jake Arnold may be able to help.

Jennifer Corbin, on behalf of the Parish of Brentford is inviting all businesses to a civic carol service on 15th December

There are a number of markets and Christmas events on Market Place on Brentford High Street over the next few months.
