Business News

Are you affected by the CPO order?

This is a NEWS FLASH for members who are located or function in the Brentford High Street area (related to the Ballymore's Brentford South of the High Street redevelopment).

A public inquiry has started today, that has not been communicated very well with those affected.

Thus on behalf of your Chamber, I felt it important to get this out as a "News Flash".

The Inquiry opened today at 10 am on Tuesday 3 October 2017 at Best Western Plus Park Grand London Heathrow, 449 Great West Road, Hounslow TW5 0BU and runs till 12th October.

You will notice this is not exactly a location in Brentford that is easy for affected organisations to attend or pop in.

Objectors include:
• Brentford Dock Co - Dock Road & access to dock
• AM Port of London Authority
• Fullers
• PLA - Managing the river & MSO
• Goddards
• Radleys & and number individual boat owners moorings
• Heidelberg
• Natwest Bank

There are a number of issues with the CPO (compulsory purchase order) order that the London Borough of Hounslow want to push through from the view point of continued trade and commerce, access rights, and also potential damage to our existing communities.

Finally this includes a number of business which will be made homeless by this scheme without access to locations to relocate in our town.

If you are affected by this please make sure you engage with this process; this may be as simple as attending the Public Inquiry to provide a show of face as they are registering attendees.

Any questions fire them over to me.

Regards

Adam
President Brentford Chamber of Commerce
