Land for Businesses

Is there enough land for businesses in Hounslow? What sort of property will the borough, or your business, need in the future?

Hounslow Council needs to know whether land for businesses meets current needs and how it can plan for future demand.  LBH would like to hear what your future business needs are.

There is a breakfast workshop on Tuesday 12 January and would like your input to inform future planning policy on business need in the Borough.

Date:               Tuesday 12 January 2016
Time:               8.30 – 11.00am (a light breakfast will be provided)
Location:         Meeting Room One, Lampton Park Conference Centre, London Borough of Hounslow Civic Centre, Lampton Road, TW3 4DN

The workshop will bring together people with practical experience of markets and sectors including local businesses, commercial property agents, property developers and investors. It will include discussions on future planning policies for employment land and

  • whether there is enough land to meet needs;
  • whether the right type of land is provided in the right places and at the right prices;
  • whether there is enough land available for development to cater for future needs;
  • whether additional sites are needed to accommodate new industrial, warehousing or office space; and
  • if there are existing sites which are no longer required and could be redeveloped.

The information gathered from this workshop will feed into the update to Hounslow’s Employment Land Review, an evidence document being prepared by Peter Brett Associates (PBA), which helps inform the Local Plan. The Council is reviewing its Local Plan through two local area reviews, one for the West of the Borough and the other for the Great West Corridor. These will provide further guidance to enable economic growth and housing development in these areas and will incorporate any sites identified in this workshop.
