Tough Times: Tough Business

Join University of West London’s Business School for a round-table event June 6th 2013

The triple bottom line (People, Planet, Profit) provides an ‘idealised’ model for measuring business success and sustainability. In practice, we all want to know how to balance these elements – some of which seem to conflict - and, more to the point, how we ensure we do more than just survive in difficult times.

‘Rollercoaster Challenge' at Rivers Academy

Hounslow EBP is delivering an exciting activity called the ‘Rollercoaster Challenge' at Rivers Academy on Thursday 23 February 2012. This activity focuses on teamwork, communication and financial planning and during this enterprise activity students will design and construct a model of a rollercoaster track with limited materials. They will need to establish individual roles within their teams to make their company and rollercoaster a successful business.

Nevertheless the day will not be as effective without volunteers from the business world to support, encourage and guide the students with their ideas, marketing and final pitch presentations.

This is a great opportunity to engage with young people and raise the profile of your business. It's a full school day programme (approx. 8.30am - 3pm) and lunch will be provided.

An information pack will be sent to all volunteers. Please e-mail Ruby Mir, Business Links Team Co-ordinator if you are able to support the day as a volunteer - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
