Brentford Chamber Meeting at BMI
An accident which closed the Eastbound carriage of the A4 and had all of Brentford in total gridlock was responsible for our last general meeting being quite small as well as late starting, although we did manage a few newcomers. A number of people were also unable to attend due to half term holidays and we will try and avoid school holidays in future.
However, Jenny Liggitt, General Manager of BMI Syon Clinic welcomed about 20 of us who managed to the wonderful Art Deco building and gave us a full tour of the building which has been re-done to a very high standard as well as the first class diagnostic imaging facilities such as CT, MRI, ultrasound and X-Ray.
We were given a presentation by the Programme Director, Johann Alberts showing what BMI has to offer, from annual check-ups to walk in diagnosis and treatment and much more as well. We were treated to a lavish spread which we didn’t quite manage to clear, as it had been laid out for many more of us.
Peter Hughes gave us a presentation on Photoview, showing examples of his commercial photography concentrating on objects, people and places that amply demonstrated how professional photography can make all the difference.
The accident prevented many people from attending the evening, and thank you to all those who got in contact with the Chamber to apologise for their absence. Those who did had an enjoyable and interesting evening and we hope BMI may host us again in the future, as well as join the Chamber.
