March Chamber Meeting at Siracusa Restaurant
Mar 22nd saw our first meeting at Siracusa Restaurant, which will become a regular part of our repertoire of events.
Tim Luckett and Andrew Dakers introduced us to the Docking Station along with a short video that clarified the background and development. Andrew has been working so hard on it that his voice had virtually gone.
We welcomed Phil Ashford from SEAT for his first appearance, Monique from West London Business attended as did Sally Smith and Mark Wardell from Hounslow Chamber as well as over twenty members.
Thanks to good food, and several glasses of wine, we stayed chatting until past 10 o’clock, well past the time Chamber meetings normally end. It was felt that having a sit down meal meant that we spent more time conversing with neighbours and it afforded us a good opportunity to get talking.
It was the first time we have charged and we hope that all those attending felt it was worth it. Just to clarify, the money charged all went to Siracusa and the Chamber didn’t keep any. This strikes the executive committee as a reasonable compromise between wanting all meetings to be free of charge and the economic realities of hosting a good evening.
If members have thoughts or concerns about occasionally charging for meetings please let us know.
