4.30 – 6.30 Wednesday 23rd November 2011

Hosted by Eton College

Dear Brentford Chamber member

We would like to invite you and your colleagues to join us at the Partnership Challenge to recognise, reward and celebrate the growing number of activities taking place between schools and the local economic community in Hounslow. This year will be the 25th. anniversary of the Partnership Challenge and as always there will be much to celebrate. Eton College have kindly agreed to host this special anniversary event as they won the Jubilee Cup last year.

Certificates will be presented to schools and their community partners. In addition, Hounslow Chamber will present the Jubilee Cup to one of the joint secondary school activities and the Malcolm Gibbins Cup to one of the joint primary school activities. The Angela Innes Award will be presented to the community partner who, in the opinion of the school who nominates them, has gone “the extra mile.” There will also be displays of several of the Business Links Team activities.

We are delighted that our keynote speaker this year will be Sophie Turner Laing, Managing Director of Entertainment, News and Broadcast Operations at Sky and a passionate champion of Sky’s support for local schools and students.

We will also be joined by Declan Swan, Chief Executive of the Institute of Education Business Excellence. Declan will announce an exciting new initiative for the Hounslow EBP to work even more closely with the IEBE, our schools and community partners to respond to the current employability challenges for our young people.

We very much hope that you and your colleagues will join us at 4.30 on Wednesday 23rd. November to celebrate the growing number of partnership activities taking place to benefit the young people of Hounslow. The event will also mark Garth’s retirement after over 40 years working in Hounslow.

Kind regards

Garth Buckle                                                                                   Les Robinson
