Building bonds with Hounslow Council over breakfast
Hounslow Council is giving local businesses the chance to share their views on its budget for the next financial year.
The council is holding two separate business breakfast meetings, where local businesses can hear from senior councillors and officers:
- 13th January 2012: The Holiday Inn, Commerce Road, Brentford, TW8 8GA
- 20th January 2011: Lampton Park Conference Centre, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN
Both meetings start from 9am and will finish at around 11am – to book a place simply email your contact details to curevenues@hounslow.gov.uk
Those businesses unable to attend one of the meetings can still take part in the consultation before the 31st of January. Visit www.hounslow.gov.uk/consultations to take part.
Cllr Jagdish Sharma, leader of the London Borough of Hounslow said:
“The council has to save £12 million for the next financial year, as the government has substantially reduced the amount of money it gives us. We want the thoughts of local entrepreneurs and business leaders about how we should make savings to ensure we spend the money we have in the most efficient way possible.
“As a council we do not have any say about how the local business rate is spent, but the services we provide still have an impact on local businesses. They are the lifeblood of any economy and it is vital that we know how to harmonise with local trade and industry.”
