Brentford Chamber Welcomes its New President
Tuesday night was a very convivial evening in Fuller’s Hock Cellar for over seventy representatives of Brentford businesses.
The Annual General Meeting of the Brentford Chamber of Commerce saw the end of the current President’s term, as Peter Hughes handed over the reins to Suzie Betlem.
Peter, who is a commercial photographer by day has been President for 4 years. In that time he has successfully modernised Brentford Chamber with new branding, logo and website as well as widening the membership and organising more interesting and well attended events.
The event at the Hock Cellar was generously hosted, as they always do, by Fuller’s Brewery and those present enjoyed sampling Fuller’s fine ales. The excellent bar staff helped to explain the difference in taste to those unused to the variety on offer.
Suzie Betlem is freelance interior designer and project manager and has ably supported Peter in the last year to help create more successful and enjoyable events and they have both brought together the many developers involved in Brentford to help put forward Brentford Chamber’s vision of a healthy town. Ballymore, ISIS, St George, St James and Barratt’s will play a vital role in establishing new businesses in Brentford.
Creating links between Brentford’s businesses is a key role for the independent Brentford Chamber of Commerce and guests were delighted to eat a feast provided by The Lord Nelson’s chef Daniel who was accompanied by landlord Lee. For those of you who don’t know, The Lord Nelson is situated in that little part of Brentford that is North of the A4.
