Brentford Chamber were pleased to take a tour of the new Sky building which combined a fantastic experience of being in real live studios and production of programmes in the specially designed Skills Studio with different stud
ios designed for each stage of production.
Sky Skills Studio is a very special opportunity located in Sky’s newest building which demonstrates latest green technology with a wind turbine and an energy saving design.
Many young people never get the opportunity to visit a workplace and find out what actually goes on and the Skills Studio gives them an opportunity to make a short news item and to take on the various roles of producer, director, cameraman and other roles.
Local schools have been queuing up to get half a day at the Studio where they tour the building and then create their own news item on a pre-selected topic that ties into the curriculum.
We’d like to commend Sky on their commitment and contribution to our local schools and to thank them for showing us all what they do so well.
