National Apprenticeship Week 2013 gets underway as the Prime Minister says Apprenticeships must become ‘the new norm’ for school leavers who choose not to go to university. We hope many of you will join us at the Apprentices Mean Business event this Thursday from 4.30pm at The Civic Centre to hear the latest news on local opportunities.
Last week, highlighting the commitment of small charities to employing Apprentices, Watermans Arts Centre won Creative Apprentice Employer of the Year 2013 – a testament to their fine work in the London Borough of Hounslow.
Spark! started the year with substantial changes to our organisation structure to ensure we can meet our partners’ present and future needs. Whilst we said a sad goodbye to several longstanding colleagues, we were delighted to welcome new faces to the team. As always, our passion to deliver high quality, cost effective and inspiring experiences that kick start careers remains at the forefront of what we do – so don’t be shy to get in touch with new partnership opportunities.
Finally, the deadline for entries for our new Young Filmmakers Competition in partnership with London Borough of Hounslow, Sky and West Thames College is fast approaching. Make sure students that have been through the Sky Skills Studios have formed teams and registered.
