Kew Bridge Steam Museum Seeks Trustee
Kew Bridge Pumping Station is an internationally significant site of the water supply industry, housing the most important collection of working water pumping machinery and related unique historical collections in the world, all housed in a range of grade 1 listed buildings.
A £2m lottery funded project is transforming the museum, including the appointment of new staff, positioning the museum as the most nationally significant site for the operation of large historic machinery.
To ensure the museum continues to meet its long-term aims we now need to recruit trustee’s to the museum’s board with expertise in eight key areas:
- Financial management and accounting
- Fund raising
- Curatorial and conservation
- Heritage engineering (Particularly steam and pressure systems)
- Operation of public attractions (Particularly Health and Safety)
- Museum Education and Outreach
- Management and development of small businesses
- Legal and Human Resources
