Spark! are once again looking for business people to help support their work with young people. Please get in touch with them directly if you are able to assist at any of these events.
Higher Education & Apprenticeship Fair
9am – 3pm
Friday 27 June 2014, St Marks Catholic School, Hounslow
The aim of the Fair is to introduce students to a variety of Higher Education & Apprenticeship opportunities. Students will benefit from talking to professionals directly and learning more about your industry and higher education pathways. The event targets students aged 17 and 18.
Women’s Day
9am – 12noon
Friday 11 July 2014, Lampton School, Hounslow
The aim of the Women’s Day is to inspire and motivate young women aged 14-15 to build upon their confidence and give them an insight into different careers. This will probably take place in a speed networking format.
Mock Interviews
9am – 3pm
Tuesday 15 July 2014, Kingsley Academy, Hounslow
and Thursday 17 July 2014, St Marks Catholic School, Hounslow
Volunteers will take part in mock interviews with students aged 14-15. The aim is to develop the student’s understanding of employers’ expectations in an interview scenario. No prior experience is needed as Spark! will provide you with resources to prepare and structure the student interviews. You can chose an AM or PM slot. Through this day students will:
• Raise their awareness of interview skills and techniques
• Engage with business volunteers
• Receive constructive feedback on their performance
Careers Day with Speed Networking
9am – 3pm
Wednesday 16 July 2014, St Marks Catholic School, Hounslow
To provide students with an up-close and personal view of a wide variety of jobs – helping to inspire the next generation. The event targets students aged 14-15.
