Help Spark! inspire the next generation
Of course it’s that diary planning time of year and we have a whole range of exciting opportunities coming up for you to help the Spark! team inspire the next generation…..
MOCK INTERVIEWS
Monday 17 November at Marjory Kinnon (am only) AND Wednesday 19 November at Feltham School
Give students the opportunity to find out what the expectations of employers are in an interview scenario. Volunteers will spend time interviewing young people with a set of questions and provide feedback to enable students to improve their interview skills. You can choose a morning, afternoon or a full day!
CAN YOU MENTOR BUSINESS-MINDED STUDENTS?
6 hours of mentoring in a local school: Jan-Feb 2015
The Mosaic Enterprise Challenge is an annual, national competition for secondary school students aged 11-16 that Spark! delivers in partnership with Business in the Community. Supported by business mentors they learn about establishing and running a business through a business simulation game. The competition begins in January 2015 and runs until February half term. Schools enter teams of three to five students aged 11-16.
Each mentor will need to commit to 10 hours between Oct 2014 – Feb 2015. All mentors taking part in this exemplary programme will receive bespoke training in October before being introduced to a local school. If the idea appeals we can send you more information.
For more information or to register your interest for any of the above call 020 8047 3350 or email priti.malhotra@sparklondon.org If possible, please reply by 31st August 2014.
You may also like to consider these types of events for a team day or just promote internally for staff personal development. If so, let us know!
Your help is hugely appreciated by the charity and the young people.
