Regional Growth Fund – could it help you?
Regional Growth Fund (RGF) – Applications sought by BIS from businesses
The Regional Growth Fund (RGF) – Round 6 opened on 19 June 2014. At least £200 million of RGF support is being made available for this round and bidders have until midday on 30 September 2014 to submit their applications to the Fund.
Those bids that are selected for support will have until March 2017 to drawn down the RGF funding. Round 6 remains focused on the private sector and bids will only be accepted from wholly private organisations, such as limited companies and universities. The minimum bid threshold is £1 million. The RGF continues to operate in England only.
Further guidance to those thinking about bidding is available in the RGF Round 6 leaflet together with a full list of live RGF programmes.
Do note that if you run a business and are looking for funding of less than £1 million, you may be able to apply to a RGF programme.
National or local organisations run RGF programmes, offering grants and/or loans to eligible businesses. Find out how RGF has helped Greencroft Bottling Company Limited , a bidder to the ‘Let’s Grow Programme’ in the north-east.
Possible Workshop on the RGF (if there is demand)
If you feel that you would benefit from a workshop to learn about the RGF and your investment proposal, then please could you let Amit Khandelwal, Neha Kamal and Kate Tomkinson at the London Borough of Hounslow know. This will allow us to try and organize such an event (to be delivered by Kate) as soon as possible as deadlines are very tight.
