Brentford Dragons First Semi-Final
Audience and guests were welcomed to our semi-finals with a delicious buffet and good opportunity to meet other members of our Chamber.
The students pitching their ideas did an excellent job of enthusiastically explaining and selling their genius to an audience and the Dragons in the theatre at Brentford School for Girls.
Our fearsome Dragons for our first semi- final were
-
- Rachel Victor-Sampson, Brentford Town Centre Manager (LB Hounslow)
- Pauline Hill, Managing Director, MSO Marine
- Steve Matthews, Managing Director, Thameside Enterprise
- Philip Tait, Managing Director, Xpress Solutions
The three pitches were:
- a Smart Executive desk, which was an impressive all singing and dancing desk that housed everything required for a complete office in a small space.
- an ingenious door lock system that could be controlled from a smart phone
- some special high protein, natural healthy snacks aimed at busy people on the go.
Our wonderful MC was Deborah Hall who presented, questioned and suggested in her flawless inimitable way.
We were delighted by the presence of The Worshipful The Mayor of the London Borough of Hounslow, Corinna Smart and thank her for her support.
After much deliberation, the ideas that were put through to the final were the Smart Desk and the Door Lock. Positive feedback and suggestions were given to each of the students to assist their journey into the world of business.
Our next Semi Final is Wednesday 11th March with four more fearsome Dragons.
Please RSVP and bring friends and family. You are all very welcome.
The final will be on St George’s Day eve. 22nd April.
