UWL ConnectEdSupporting personal and organisational development by investing of time and finances in appropriate training can not only aid in staff recruitment and retention but actually pay for itself in a very short period of time. Knowing that, the University of West London is inaugurating a suite of professional short courses aimed at developing professionals in small and medium enterprises in West London.

Academics in all eight academic schools of the University are developing a series of high quality one day courses to empower west London businesses and their staff. These courses will provide employers and employees with opportunities to engage with leading edge thinking and technology, taking advantage of the University’s strong, proven expertise in a flexible, accessible and convenient format. They will support staff in local companies at all organisational levels providing technical capacitation as well as personal development tools.

These Continual Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) accredited courses will further improve west London businesses’ competitive advantages by empowering their workforce. They are being crafted to enable professionals to build their learning in a manner that is suitable for today’s rushed and competitive environment, attending to organisations’ learning needs as well as delegates’ time constraints.

Companies can request courses to be delivered on site by contacting the University’s Enterprise Department. Allowing for this option falls directly within the initiative’s mission of providing cutting edge capacitation in a rushed environment.
