July “Spotlight On” at Brentford Novotel

July “Spotlight On” at Brentford Novotel

If you were unable to be at the Novotel last night to meet two of our newest members you missed a treat.

The two Business’ ‘In the Spotlight’ were Backup Coffee and Service and Heston Hyde Hotel.

Carlos Machado entertained us with a fabulous presentation all about coffee and the services that Backup offer.

50% of their 7 year old business is selling coffee in many forms and the other 50% is in coffee machines. Selling, maintenance and training, tailored to suit the business or individual.

Carlos’ passion for his business and the bean was infectious. It is a small family business with 6-7 personnel, based in Commerce Road, Brentford.

We were also treated with a short video on how to make feather shapes in the milk. Called Laté Art. Did you know that? The delicious complimentary Expresso, surprisingly, didn’t keep me awake.

Do check out www.backupcoffee.co.uk and buy a coffee machine or at least some of the best Sicilian/Brazillian coffee in London. Jamie Redknap said so!

Chetan Bhanot told us all about the brand new Heston Hyde Hotel. Located just off the M4 via Heston Services. It was built on the site of the Heston Aerodrome which closed in 1948. References to its unique history is reflected in the décor and the Neville Chamberlain suite.

The luxury hotel has 303 bedrooms of various sizes including 15 rooms suitable for disabled guests. Each one has a large flat screen, TV work desk, en suite luxury bathrooms and sunshine!

The banqueting room is able to accommodate and cater for 1,200 guests.

Other more intimate restaurants offer contemporary European and also Indian cuisine. These restaurants are open to everyone and the outside courtyard bar-b-que and restaurant sounds wonderful. It has a canopy, should it rain and infra -red heaters for chilly evenings.

At the back of the hotel is a nature reserve for leafy nature filled walks. This is hotel property so guests may wander freely.

The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and fitness studio. There is a large meeting room that can hold up to 300 people and also smaller board rooms for 6.

Chetan very kindly invited us for tea (and coffee!) and we are thoroughly looking forward to tea on the terrace and a guided tour. Have your own tour by visiting www.hestonhydehotel.com
