The Proposals

Professor Will Alsop OBE, founding director of aLL design has developed a transformative and regenerative mixed use scheme, including:

A new bus depot at ground level
Up to 350 new homes, spread over 3 buildings
A car showroom
Employment space
A new media hub below ground level
A landscaped podium park with a cafe
Basement with car parking and cycle storage

Suggested Benefits

The bus depot would replace Metroline’s facility at Commerce Road, unlocking that site for a new school.
Up to 350 new homes, helping to meet Hounslow’s housing need.
New employment space with up to 6 office business pods, bringing new jobs and investment.
Public and landscaped park space, with children’s playspace and public amenities.

The proposals for Capital Interchange Way, together with the consented plans around Lionel Road, will act as a catalyst helping to create a new mixed use urban quarter around Kew Bridge station.
