Invitation to the MTR Crossrail Supplier Day

MTR Crossrail is holding a Supplier Day; we would like to invite members for whom this may be suitable to attend.

This event will cover the background of MTR Crossrail, and our role in the wider Crossrail project as well as information to assist you in submitting high-quality tenders.
The MTR Crossrail Supplier Day will be held on the morning of 21 January 2016 at Stratford Old Town Hall, 29 The Broadway, Stratford, E15 4BQ. Due to limited space, we are only able to offer one place per organisation. Registration and tea and coffee will start at 8:30am with the event commencing at 9:00am.

About MTR Crossrail
MTR Crossrail is the Train Operating Company that was awarded the concession contract by Transport for London to operate Crossrail rail services. This is an eight year contract that can be extended to ten years.
The Crossrail services started running between Liverpool Street and Shenfield on 31 May 2015, taking over the existing stopping services. These services are initially operating with the current rolling stock under the TfL Rail brand, but from 2017 new Crossrail trains will enter into service under the Crossrail brand.
Following on from these initial Liverpool Street to Shenfield services, additional Crossrail services will be introduced as follows:
– Heathrow to Paddington (mainline platforms) – May 2018 (when the Crossrail concession takes over the Heathrow Connect service)
– Paddington (Crossrail platforms) to Abbey Wood – December 2018.
–  Paddington (Crossrail platforms) to Shenfield – May 2019.

By December 2019 there will be a full through service that includes services to Reading and the Crossrail route will serve 40 stations and run 118 km (72 miles) from Reading and Heathrow.
