New Executive and President

At our Annual General Meeting the current Executive and President will retire and a new team will be elected. Several members of the Executive are stepping down this year due to other commitments and Suzie Betlem has now been President for 4 years which is the maximum term of office.

We would welcome Chamber members stepping forward to help run the Chamber and there is no need to wait to be asked.

The nature of our membership with the majority being small businesses with little time to spare means that it is no longer possible for a few people to do all the work of running the Chamber. We would therefore like to spread the workload amongst the team and also to return to the expectation that the President only serves one year to make it less of a burden.

We would like members to come on board, even if just for a year, and implement their own ideas as well as organise events.

As of yet, no one on the Executive can commit to being President next year so we are also in the unusual position of inviting a member to step up to being our leader.
