Afternoon Tea’n’tunes in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

Forget the A316 and the World Cup, put Brentford FC out of your mind, relax and enjoy a cup of tea*  some cake,  flapjack or scone and chat while you listen to some of the groups which meet and perform in Brentford and Hounslow .  They are always pleased to have an opportunity to meet and  entertain new audiences.  What could be better than sharing their love for performing while helping to raise funds for such a great Charity.

Entertainment will include Hounslow Light Opera company with a variety of songs, Mad About Gospel singing `a cappella’, St Faith’s Players – some of the cast and crew with a short selection from their upcoming Pantomime – `The White Cat’ and  solo spots from Lee Dewsnap on piano and Rob Shaw on Double Bass…

Remembrance Sunday

wreath 2014Brian Johnson, Treasurer of Brentford Chamber of Commerce will be laying a wreath on behalf of our members at Brentford War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday.

There will be a procession of cadets and church congregation from St Paul’s to the War Memorials outside Brentford Library and a minute’s silence.

Please join in at the War Memorial about half past ten on Sunday 8th November.

Summer News

We hope you are enjoying this varied summer climate and the quiet local roads during the school holidays.

We have had a busy year and hope that you have been able to attend some, if not all, of our events.

We were royally entertained by Urban Villa who invited us to stay in their new hotel for a night and treated us to a whisky and tequila tasting session.

Novotel invited us to lunch and supper for pre Bees match pizzas or pasta on several occasions.

Fullers hosted our AGM at the Hock Cellar where we were treated to delicious food and glorious beers.

Who are you?

I have lived and worked in Brentford for twenty five years. I was born in Chiswick and went to Chiswick school before Camberwell School of Art and then the Royal Academy Schools. I have really enjoyed living in Brentford and we have many wonderful friends.

July “Spotlight On” at Brentford Novotel

If you were unable to be at the Novotel last night to meet two of our newest members you missed a treat.

The two Business’ ‘In the Spotlight’ were Backup Coffee and Service and Heston Hyde Hotel.

Carlos Machado entertained us with a fabulous presentation all about coffee and the services that Backup offer.

50% of their 7 year old business is selling coffee in many forms and the other 50% is in coffee machines. Selling, maintenance and training, tailored to suit the business or individual.
