2013 AGM at The Hock Cellar

The Brentford Dragons event at UWL’s Pillars Restaurant proved to be a rip-roaring success. Four sets of students pitched their business ideas to a large audience representing many diverse businesses from Brentford and beyond to the Brentford Dragons. The ideas included a one stop wedding shop, sushi food roll, student online social media, and real time information (RTI) software for mobiles. The students were allowed five minutes to pitch and another five minutes for questions from the dragons and audience.

Over 30 members and assorted guests spent a very convivial evening at the Six Bells where Glyn Paterson offered us a plentiful selection of food.
It’s a pleasure to see this beautifully refurbished pub under permanent management after many changes.
Spark! have announced their listing of events for this term. They do have a few chamber members who already support the work that they do but are always looking for new people to help and these events are a great opportunity to engage with young people and raise the profile of their business. Most activities are a full school day programme but even half a day’s help is appreciated.
