Docking Station Launch

An idea from the young people of Hounslow

‘The Social Enterprise High Street Challenge’ challenged young people in Hounslow secondary schools to develop a business plan for an empty shop in Brentford High Street in just eight weeks. Selected in a Dragons Den-like final last Autumn, the winning business concept “Docking Station” came from a team at Hounslow Manor school.

The new shop will be run by nine apprentices who started their training at West Thames College in December and will continue their technical training at Thames Valley University in partnership Hounslow Apprenticeship Training.

March 2011 Newsletter

You are invited to attend our next General Meeting on the 22nd March at Siracusa Restaurant, Brentford Lock at 6 for a 6.30pm start. Our host, Ibrahim Unsal, is graciously offering us a glass of prosecco on arrival, followed by a main course accompanied by wine .

In these times it would be unfair to expect Ibrahim to fund this all himself so we are asking people to pay £10 to attend the meeting. Full details, including the menu are on our website but RSVPs would be appreciated by March 18th at the latest. An invitation is attached; please use it, print it, distribute it or forward it on.

A number of people were also unable to attend due to half term holidays and we will try and avoid school holidays in future.
