Ballymore Land South of the High Street

On 6th September Brentford Chamber submitted the following objection to the proposals for the Ballymore development: Land South of the High Street, Brentford. The main reference is 00607/BA/P2

On behalf of the Brentford Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and our Chamber Members, we would like to formally oppose the various applications for the Land South of the High Street.

Focusing on the business side of the proposed development we would make the following comments (some of which we have made also in the Hounslow Plan):

LB Hounslow and/or Ballymore need to establish a firm retail strategy to ensure a core mix of retail shops that will bring both other shops as well as encouraging footfall.

Response to Hounslow Local Plan

Reading through 228 pages of a document and making constructive suggestions is not an easy task but we have completed it. The Hounslow Local Plan is an important document that sets out the council’s proposals for the future development of the borough over the next fifteen years. The Local Plan contributes to  the achievement of sustainable development, addressing the spatial implicationsof economic, social and environmental change.

Syon House Celebrates with Museum of London

syonparkWe were privileged to be invited to share Syon House’s celebratory evening along with the Museum of London and their guests. The evening showcases the Summer’s excavation, albeit with a few days to go before they finish for the year. This year the dig took place towards the boundary wall by the Duchess gate in a field with curious cows.
