Red Routemaster Moves to Dock Road

redroutemaster

RedRoutemaster (trading name of Attend IT) started only four years ago and has now outgrown its first operating base and has completed its move into a new site now known as RedRoutemaster Brentford Dock Rd Garage.

RedRoutemaster’s old location is under threat of redevelopment and like many smaller operators in Greater London it has struggled to find a suitable new location, but thanks to the support lobbying led by the local chamber of commerce, the Brentford Chamber, the London Borough of Hounslow and Brentford Dock Limited, they have managed to secure a new larger site complete with a full functioning office building which fronts the high street.

The move has also allowed the group which also has a IT division to move its head office and all other operating sites to one central location.

Meet Cultivate London

octinkIn the third of a series looking at quirky Brentford businesses in partnership with BrentfordTW8.com, we interview Adrienne Attorp of Cultivate London.

Who are you?

Cultivate London – a social enterprise urban farm and youth training programme based across multiple derelict sites in west London, including two sites in Brentford. We work with long-term unemployed youth aged 16 – 24 years old to help them gain employment, offering a volunteer training programme as well as paid internship and apprenticeship programmes.  Working with these youth we grow a range of organically produced vegetables, herbs and flowers which we sell to customers across London, including at Brentford Market.

Ballymore's vision of the High Street

Brentford to see a new High Street

Suzie Betlem spoke on behalf of Brentford Chamber at the Planning Committee meeting which approved Ballymore’s scheme for the Land South of the High Street.

Ballymore's vision of the High StreetWhile we would have preferred the scheme to have been substantially re-written since it was initially rejected by the public in November 2012, we look forward to working with Ballymore to help them progress the scheme in the best manner possible. At the Planning Committee meeting Ballymore agreed to give a 20% rent reduction to all new business tenants within the London Borough of Hounslow opening in Brentford. As a Chamber we will continue to urge Ballymore to increase this amount for existing Brentford businesses.
