Hounslow Businesses and the Olympics

10am-12 noon

Local businesses are being invited to find out how the Olympics could affect them and also how they can benefit from the Olympics at a free event run by the council.

The event is being organised by the council to help local businesses understand the potential impact the Olympics will have on issues such as staff travel, customer access and freight movement.

There will also be information on how to plan for any disruption which may affect businesses’ ability to operate.

Octink triumphs in The Sunday Times

Octink Recycling in Brentford Brentford-based display and signage specialist Octink has been named as one of the UK’s greenest businesses, for the third year running, in The Sunday Times Best Green Companies list 2011. Working in an industry that generates massive quantities of waste, Octink is leading the way as the only display and signage company to be included on this prestigious list.

Octink pioneered one of the UK’s first complete recycling processes for redundant display material, known as R3 – Recover, Re-cycle, Re-use. As a result of this and other initiatives, it is ranked as the UK’s fifth greenest manufacturer on this year’s Best Green Companies list.

Careers Fair for St Mark’s Sixth Form

Abi Conisbee, from the Business Links Partnership invites you to take part in St Mark’s Career Fair.

The Event is only for the sixth form students of which there are 147. In the morning the businesses would have a table in the Hall for students to come round and ask questions and then in the afternoon 2 workshops, to which students sign up to in advance, to go into details of specific industries and career opportunities in more depth.
