June Newsletter

Thank you to all who came to our AGM recently. It was an enjoyable evening, an opportunity to say thank you to Suzie Betlem for her four years as President and to welcome David O’Connor as our President for the year.

David’s written a few words to introduce himself.

David – Our New President

As you may know, we had a very successful and well attended AGM last month at The Hock Cellar. I would like to thank Fullers for hosting our unique AGM, and I already look forward to next year’s meeting at the brewery.

I would like to extend my thanks to Suzie, for her help and advice during the transition from her four years of tireless work for our Chamber. Over the next few weeks and months, I aim to work with the executive and our members on cementing our Chamber as the voice for business in Brentford. As a Chamber we have a challenge ahead of us. How do we remain relevant in today’s modern business place?

New Executive and President

At our Annual General Meeting the current Executive and President will retire and a new team will be elected. Several members of the Executive are stepping down this year due to other commitments and Suzie Betlem has now been President for 4 years which is the maximum term of office.

We would welcome Chamber members stepping forward to help run the Chamber and there is no need to wait to be asked.
