Happy New Year from Brentford Chamber

Our first meeting of the year is from 6.15pm on January 23rd at Brentford Football Club where we will be presented with an exhibition showcasing the proposed new stadium at Lionel Road. Brentford Chamber December Newsletter

Our next meeting is at the Holiday Inn which is launching its new Open Lobby. If you haven’t let us know whether you’re attending please do. This is our last event before Christmas and it would be nice to see you.

Our first meeting of next year will be at Brentford Football Club where we will be presented with details of the proposed new stadium. Details will follow but please mark January 23rd in your diary.

Survey of High Street Development

Over the last few months Brentford Chamber has been canvassing its members for their opinions on Ballymore’s proposed High Street Development.

As well as informal conversations we also invited members to answer a short survey. We made the survey very short in the hope that far more of you would complete it then actually did. You still can at Survey Monkey but here are the results:

Cyril J Scott Returns to Brentford

Back in March of this year, Brentford Chamber of Commerce received an unusual letter from Central and Cecil, a not-for-profit housing and care provider based in Waterloo.

This organisation was looking for a relative of Cyril J Scott and was wondering whether Brentford Chamber could help.

Our contribution to consultation on Ballymore Development

Thursday 21st November saw a very busy meeting in St Paul’s church with respect to Ballymore’s proposed development on and around Brentford High Street.

Here follows the text of Suzie Betlem’s speech:

The Brentford Chamber of Commerce has been actively involved in the re- generation proposals put forward by Ballymore over the past several years, and a lot of our members here tonight, have taken part in the workshop process over the past 18 months.

Subsequently since the planning application was submitted, The Brentford Chamber executive committee has been working hard to put forward ideas and help develop the changes that must be made to make this redevelopment work for the business community, as much as for the residents before approval is given.
